National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang and the floor leaders of Korea's rival parties gathered to thrash out a deal on Wednesday.<br />Since last week,... the main opposition Liberty Korea party and the centrist Barunmirae party.... have been boycotting major parliamentary schedules,... demanding that the ruling party agree to a parliamentary probe into a hiring scandal at a subway operator,... and for President Moon to slash his senior aide for civil affairs for his poor vetting of a candidate for a ministerial post.<br />But the two opposition parties decided to drop the latter condition on Tuesday,.... and are now waiting to see if the ruling party accepts their reduced demands in today's meeting.<br />The discussions could determine the fate of the review of the government's budget proposal for next year. <br />
