Residents of Coonoor, a forest district in Tamil Nadu, India, are amazed by a strong bond between an elephant and an Indian bison. <br /><br />The two unlikely friends are always seen together, helping each other. <br /><br />The elephant brings down heavy branches on which the bison feeds. The bison shows the elephant the correct path in the forest avoiding slippery mountain slopes.<br /><br />Together they form an invincible pair which no predator can take down. <br /><br />A forest official said the elephant separated from its herd accidentally and was perhaps feeling lost in the forest. “It came across the bison a few months ago and both have been together since then,” he added.
