Do try it at home and share your feedback in the comments below.<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />Dum Aloo<br />500 grams Potatoes, boiled&fried<br />100 grams Curd<br /><br />Spice paste:<br />1 tbsp Red Chilli powder<br />1 tsp Turmeric powder<br />1 tbsp Coriander seeds<br />Salt to taste<br />1 tsp Peppercorns<br />1 tbsp Fennel seeds<br />1 tbsp Cumin seeds<br />1 tsp Cloves<br />1 inch Ginger<br />10-15 Garlic<br />2 Green chillies<br />1 Bay leaves<br />1/4 cup Fried onions<br />1 cup Oil<br />Water for grinding<br />1 cup Water<br />1/4 cup Coriander leaves, chopped<br /><br />Biryani Rice<br />500 grams Basmati Rice, 80% cooked with basic Indian spices and drained<br /><br />Method of preparation:<br />Heat a vessel add fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and toast it on medium flame.<br />Transfer the spices into a grinder, add cloves, peppercorns, bay leaf, red chilli powder, turmeric and grind them into a powder.<br />Add Ginger, garlic, green chillies, fried onions and grind it one more time without water.<br />Add water and give it a final grind.<br />Our Spice paste is ready.<br /><br />Heat oil in another vessel, add the spice paste, curd, stir and cook it on a moderate flame.<br />Add fried potatoes, salt, water, stir well, cover it and cook it on high flame.<br />Add parboiled rice, fried onion, coriander leaves, cover it and allow it to cook on dum for 15-20 minutes on low flame.<br />Our Dum Aloo Biryani is ready to serve.<br />
