Bargain hunters descended into Myrtle Beach Walmart in South Carolina yesterday (November 22) to secure deals on large televisions and other consumer electronics.<br /><br />Footage taken of the frenzied shoppers jostling for products and space was captioned "This is getting out of hand." This feeling echoes a lot of popular sentiment over the extent of the shopping holiday. <br /><br />The filmer said: "I was in Walmart, it was about 10 minutes until the deals actually started. Someone yelled 3, 2, 1, Go! I wasn’t prepared for what I saw."<br /><br />He later commented: "It is a shame that people act this way on a day where we should be thankful for what we have."<br /><br />Last year Black Friday sales drew 174 million shoppers in the US looking for Thanksgiving discounts.
