A beautiful river of floating candles in Thailand's Loy Krathong festival.<br /><br />The scene was captured in Samut Songkhram province where locals sent the Krathong baskets stuffed with candles and incense sticks out onto the Mae Klong river. <br /><br />The annual Buddhist festival honours the goddess of water and takes place under the full moon each November.<br /><br />Locals believe that by releasing the lanterns onto rivers, lakes and into the sea, it will bring good luck for the year ahead.
