Powerful winds hit China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region blowing down pedestrians and causing power cuts.<br /><br />Video of the weather, filmed in Urumqi City last Saturday (November 24), shows the strong winds pushing a woman to walk backwards and fall down onto the ground. Several other passersby are seen struggling to walk forward and have to hold poles to help keep balance. <br /><br />In another clip, the window in a woman’s apartment is blown open and the curtains come loose on the floor, causing a mess in the living room.<br /><br />According to reports, the local meteorological observatory issued the orange alert (the second strongest) for the wind. A section of the residential communities had power cuts and several trains were also cancelled.
