CNN reports that Italian director Bernardo Bertolucci has died at age 77 following a long battle with cancer.<br />Bertolucci directed "Last Tango in Paris."<br />His film "The Last Emperor" also won all nine Academy Award categories it was nominated for in 1988.<br />He remained fiercely independent throughout his career.<br />He was considered by many to be one of the world's leading contemporary directors.<br />He was one of the writers of Sergio Leone's 'Once Upon A Time In The West.' <br />
