Learn how to make Chicken Hariyali at home with Chef Tarika Singh on Get Curried.<br /><br />Chicken Hariyali is a green chicken curry recipe made using yogurt, marinated chicken, spices and mint leaves. It is a semi gravy chicken recipe that goes well with Parathas. Do try it at home and share your feedback in the comments below.<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />1/2 Kg Chicken, marinated in 1/4 tsp (salt & pepper)<br />2 tbsp Ghee<br />Bay leaf<br />1 Kashmiri Red Chilli<br />5 Cloves<br />4 Green Cardamom, seeds<br />1 tsp Cumin seeds<br />Pinch of asafoetida<br />1 Onion, thinly sliced<br />1 Tomato<br />2 Cinnamon sticks<br />1/4 cup Water<br />1/4 cup Yogurt<br />1/2 tsp Salt (heaped)<br /><br />For Paste<br />2 cups Mint Leaves<br />1 cup Coriander leaves<br />Ginger<br />3 Green Chillies, slit<br />1 Lemon juice<br />1/4 tsp Himalayan Black Salt<br />1 tbsp Water<br /><br /><br />Method of preparation:<br />Marinate the chicken in salt and pepper for 30 minutes.<br />In a vessel, heat ghee, add ghee and let it brown on one side.<br />Take the chicken out on a plate.<br />Add bay leaf, kashmiri red chilli, cloves, cardamom, cumin seeds, asafoetida, onion, tomato, cinnamon, paste and cook it.<br />Add the chicken, give it a good mix.<br />In the same mixer jar add some water and yoghurt and give it a blend.<br />Add the mixture to the chicken, give it a good mix, bring it to a slight simmer, cover the pan and let it cook.<br />Add salt, mix well and our Hariyali Chicken is ready to plate.<br /><br />For Paste<br />In a mixer jar add mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger, green chillies, lemon juice, black salt, water and grind it to a smooth paste.<br /><br />Our Hariyali Chicken is ready.
