Lauren, who is recovering from a tragic loss, is comforted by the added security, but quickly suspects something is amiss with the apartment, much to the concern of Russell, who thinks she is imagining things.<br /><br />Lauren researches the company who built The Pinnacle and meets Vernon Sarsfield, a conspiracy theorist. Vernon believes The Pinnacle is not an apartment complex at all; it is a corporate experiment in synthetic telepathy and the residents are guinea pigs in a global brainwashing plot.<br /><br />Lauren initially questions Vernon’s sanity, but as she investigates deeper, she finds her own life in peril.
