For the first time in a while I set off to the "barbel swim" on the Warwickshire Avon alone, having fished with either my daughter Anastacia or Alessio for as many of the previous sessions as I could remember.<br />The weather was close and the river had a slight tinge of colour to it, although it was fining-down.<br />My hopes were high...<br /><br />ps Apologies for rather less-than-great quality of the picture.
