Do try it at home and share your feedback in the comments below.<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />Ghee for frying<br />Cottage Cheese<br />Cashew nuts<br />Raisins<br />Ghee<br />1 ½ tsp Cumin seeds<br />Ginger julienes<br />Green Peas<br />2 Green Chilies, slit<br />Bay leaves<br />Spring Onion whites, chopped<br />3-4 Green Cardamom<br />8-10 Black Pepper<br />2 Star Anise<br />2 Cardamom<br />2 cups Water<br />Salt to taste<br />1 tsp Red Chili powder<br />Turmeric powder<br />1 cup Rice, soaked&washed<br />1 cup Frozen green peas<br />Spring onion greens<br />1/2 cup Cottage cheese, crumbled<br />Coriander leaves<br /><br />Method of preparation:<br />Heat ghee in a pan, shallow fry cottage cheese, cashews, raisins.<br />Heat ghee in a vessel, add cumin seeds, ginger and fry it till the raw smell goes away.<br />Add green chilies, bay leaves, onion and fry them.<br />In a pestle and mortar add spices and grind them fine.<br />Add the ground masala to the fried vegetables and mix well.<br />Add water, dry spices, mix well and once the water boils add the rice to it.<br />Cook the rice for 5-6 minutes and then add green peas, cottage cheese, coriander leaves, mix well and then cook it on low flame for 5-7 minutes.<br />Add spring onion greens, fried paneer/cottage cheese, cashew nuts, raisins, coriander leaves, mix well and sprinkle some water.<br />Cover the lid and cook it on low flame.<br /><br />Our Paneer Matar Pulao is ready to serve.
