Learn how to make Gujarati Doodhi Na Muthiya at home with Chef Toral Rindani on Swaad Anusaar.<br /><br />Doodhi na muthiya is a Gujarati recipe made of gram flour, sugar, salt, red chili powder and bottle gourd. This snack recipe is first steamed and then fried. Do give it a try and share your feedback in the comments below.<br /><br />Ingredients:<br />1 Bottle Gourd, peeled&grated<br />3-4 tbsp Gram flour<br />2 cups Wheat Flour<br />1 tbsp Ginger-chilli paste<br />1/2 tsp Turmeric powder<br />1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder<br />Sugar<br />Salt to taste<br />2 tbsp White sesame seeds<br />1 tbsp Sugar<br />3-4 tbsp Oil<br /><br />For Tempering<br />3-4 tbsp Oil<br />Mustard seeds<br />5-6 Curry leaves<br /><br />Method of preparation:<br />In a bowl add bottle gourd, wheat flour, gram flour, ginger-chilli paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, sesame seeds and mix well.<br />Add sugar, oil, mix well and make it into a dough.<br />Preheat the steamer.<br />Grease the tin, make cylindrical shape from the mixture and keep it inside the steamer.<br />Steam the muthiya's for 15-20 minutes.<br />Let the muthiya's cool down and then make small pieces of it.<br />Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, muthiya's and cook them for 5-6 minutes till they turn crispy.<br />Our Doodhi Muthiya is ready, garnish it with sesame seeds, grated coconut and coriander leaves.
