French President Emmanuel Macron has ordered his prime minister to talk with political leaders and demonstrators to resolve violent protests that have left large parts of Paris in ruins. <br />Macron assessed the damage after the third weekend of nationwide protests by the so-called "Yellow Vests" movement.<br />His government, meanwhile, is considering whether or not to declare a state of emergency.<br />The protests began over increased fuel taxes, but have since grown into wider anger over Macron's agenda. <br />More than 400 people were arrested in the latest riots and more than 260 others were injured nationwide. <br />
