A farmer in central India was left stunned after his pet chicken swallowed a cobra whole. <br /><br />At a village near Kalburgi in Karnataka state, farmer Nanjappa Hukeri was worried when he saw a young cobra in his backyard last Sunday (November 2). <br /><br />Concerned that the snake would kill his chickens and pose a threat to the family as well, he watched anxiously as a rooster stepped in to defend its flock.<br /><br />To Hukeri's amazement it pecked up the cobra and swallowed it whole easily. The cobra struggled and tried to escape, but was no match for the rooster.
