Dozens of members of a notorious branch of the Italian mafia have been arrested after a series of raids across several European countries.<br />Wednesday's operation came after a two-year investigation into the Ndrangheta criminal group on allegations of cocaine trafficking, money laundering, bribery and violence.<br />At least 90 people were arrested, and more than three tons of drugs and millions of laundered money were seized across Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.<br />The Ndrangheta mafia operates from Calabria in southern Italy and is one of the world's largest crime syndicates, controlling as much as 80 percent of Europe's cocaine trade. <br />
