South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha has been holding talks with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on their joint efforts to denuclearize North Korea.<br />According to Seoul's foreign ministry, Kang and Pompeo met in Washington on Thursday,... after attending former U.S. President George H.W. Bush's funeral.<br />The diplomats reaffirmed their countries' ironclad alliance,... and agreed to continue close cooperation to achieve the final, fully verified denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.<br />They will also continue negotiations on sharing the cost of stationing U.S. troops in Korea.<br />The meeting comes two months after their previous one in October,... when Pompeo visited Seoul right after his fourth trip to North Korea. <br />
