PKR Youth chief Akmal Nasir said the salary deductions were too high, and called on PTPTN to delay the implementation of the new loan repayment scheme.<br /><br />"This must also be studied based on the agreement on repayment rate agreed upon between PTPTN and the borrowers prior to this.<br /><br />"This is not the first time a PTPTN announcement has caused concern, just like the initial minimum salary level for repayment being set at RM1,000, which was amended to RM2,000," he said.<br /><br />It was announced that the new repayment scheme would be enforced from January next year on borrowers whose monthly salaries were RM2,000 and above. <br /><br />The percentage of monthly deductions, between two to 15 percent, will be based on each borrower's respective salary level.
