An unlucky thief fell in a village well in central India while attempting to flee after their robbery was foiled by villagers and police. <br /><br />The incident happened in Garhi Malhara in the district of Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh state, on the night of December 8. Police had spotted the robbery suspects near a village and followed them, with one suspect fleeing while another of his companions fell into a well. <br /><br />The next morning, villagers informed the police about the trapped thief and they arrived four hours later and together lifted him out on a stretcher. As soon he was out from the well he was arrested by police.
