Kathie Lee Gifford to Depart <br />the 'Today' Show Gifford became Hoda Kotb's co-host on the <br />10 AM hour program back in 2008. Before joining 'Today,' Gifford co-hosted <br />'Live with Regis & Kathie Lee' from 1985 to 2000. She quickly became a 'Today' fan-favorite when she returned to television eight years later. NBC says it will share plans for the future of the program in the coming months before Gifford leaves. Kotb is expected to remain with presumably a new co-host.
