Female-Led Films <br />Earn More Than <br />Male-Led Films, Study Says From 2014 to 2017, <br />the top movies starring <br />women earned more <br />than male-led films. This was true for movies with <br />budgets of less than $10 million <br />or more than $100 million. Researchers from Creative Artists <br />Agency and Shift7 made the discovery. They based their <br />findings on the analysis of <br />350 films listed on the data and <br />technology provider, Gracenote. Christy Haubegger, C.A.A. agent, via 'The New York Times' Female-led Hollywood movies <br />accounted for about a quarter <br />of the top 2017 films. A study from San Diego State University <br />found that number to be a <br />drop from the year before.
