4.4 Magnitude Earthquake <br />Hits Tennessee and Georgia The quake was recorded by the <br />U.S. Geological Survey just <br />after 4 a.m. ET on Wednesday. The epicenter of the quake was <br />about 150 miles from Nashville. Tennessee hasn't experienced <br />a quake of this magnitude in 45 years. A 4.7 quake struck <br />East Tennessee in 1973. The quake had a 3.3 aftershock <br />less that 15 minutes later. It was felt as far <br />south as Georgia and <br />as far north as Kentucky. There have been no reports of serious damage or injuries.
