Suspected Strasbourg Shooter <br />Shot and Killed by Police Police say that Chérif Chekatt <br />was "shot dead" on Thursday. He was found was found hiding <br />in a warehouse located in <br />the Meinau area of the city. His identity <br />has not yet <br />been confirmed. Chekatt, 29, is suspected of <br />killing three people and wounding <br />several others in an attack near <br />a Christmas market in the city. Since the Tuesday attack,<br />a massive manhunt <br />has been underway. Chekatt, who has an extensive <br />criminal record dating back to <br />his youth, had thus far evaded police. Strasbourg is thought <br />to have the largest <br />concentration of jihadist <br />terror cells in France.
