French police have killed the suspected gunman who attacked people at a Christmas market in Strasbourg earlier this week.<br />Twenty-nine-year-old Cherif Chekatt was shot dead on Thursday evening, local time, after a two-day manhunt.<br />Police spotted him on a street in the Neudorf district in Strasbourg and he was said to have opened fire on the officers when they tried to question him.<br />Three people were killed, and more than a dozen others were injured in Tuesday's terrorist attack. <br />
