미쓰비시 근로정신대 1•2차 이어 3차 소송 항소심도 '승소'<br /><br />And continuing on from that story... another South Korean court has ruled in favor of the victims of Japanese forced labor.<br />The Gwangju District Court on Friday dismissed an appeal by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries against its original ruling ordering the company to pay compensation.<br />That ruling, from 2017, requires Mitsubishi to pay one plaintiff around 106 thousand U.S. dollars... and three thousand dollars to a relative of a victim who's now deceased.<br />This was the third lawsuit by multiple groups of Korean women forced to work for no pay as part of so-called "volunteer labor corps" at Mitsubishi's munitions factories back in 1944.<br />The first group of these women finally won in the Supreme Court in late November and the second group won on appeal earlier this month. <br />
