Sandy Hook Elementary School Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat It comes on the sixth anniversary of a <br />mass shooting in 2012 that left 26 students and teachers dead in the town of Newtown, Connecticut. The threat also comes less than a day after police departments across the U.S. and Canada were alerted to multiple bomb threats sent to businesses, hospitals <br />and other places. Newtown's Police Department says it received a call at 9 AM that a bomb <br />was in the school. Officers conducted a search as a precaution, but do not believe the threat was credible.
