Firefighters were forced to swim through flood waters to rescue four girls who were trapped inside a flooded house in coastal city Da Nang, Vietnam on December 9.<br /><br />They managed to safely rescue the girls who were unharmed by their ordeal.<br /><br />The area was swamped after heavy rainfall caused floods across the area, leaving at least 14 people dead and thousands more displaced. <br /><br />Towns across central Vietnam began reporting rapid flooding beginning on Saturday as the region was hit by an unseasonal monsoon.<br /><br />Floods put much of the port city of Da Nang underwater earlier this week after 635mm of rain fell in a 24-hour period between Saturday and Sunday. Authorities in the country's fourth largest city reported 2550 houses were underwater on Monday at the peak of the floods.
