Sunday morning saw me sneak out for an hour on the bank at dawn as the family had a lie-in.<br /><br />My intention was another trotting session. However, a quick reccy to the stretch below the weir confirmed that there was far too much wind for that to be a feasible tactic. <br /><br />"Zander weather" I thought as I walked home in the drizzle to swap my trotting gear for deadbaits.<br /><br />By the time I had set up and cast in than the skies cleared, the clouds disappeared and the sun blazed down on the winter landscape.
