The United Nations will adopt a resolution on North Korea's human rights violations on Monday, local time.<br />The resolution strongly condemns the regime's "longstanding and ongoing systematic, widespread and gross violations of human rights" and was approved by consensus without a vote last month. <br />It'll be the 14th straight year for the UN to urge a strong response to the matter. <br />It lists grave human rights violations by North Korea,... including torture, rape, public executions,... while urging the Security Council to take appropriate measures to hold the abusers accountable. <br />But for the first time this year, it includes that it welcomes Seoul and Washington's current diplomatic efforts with Pyeongyang. <br />
