The United Nations will adopt a resolution on North Korea's human rights violations on Monday, local time.<br />The resolution strongly condemns the regime's longstanding and ongoing violations of human rights.... and was approved by consensus without a vote last month. <br />It'll be the 14th straight year for the UN to have adopted a resolution to the matter. <br />As for the reasons for passing the resolution,... it has listed North Korea's serious human rights violations,... including torture, rape and public executions.<br />It also urges the Security Council to take appropriate measures to hold the abusers accountable. <br />But for the first time this year,... it included that it welcomes Seoul and Washington's current diplomatic efforts with Pyeongyang. <br />
