Yellow vest protesters take to the streets of cities across Canada this weekend to denounce the country's immigration laws and federal carbon tax policy.<br /><br />Demonstrations took place in Edmonton, Toronto and Calgary, among other cities.<br /><br />This video, filmed in Grand Prairie, Alberta, shows protesters gathered on a snowy field and holding up signs. Some are seen donning the signature yellow vests that have become an icon in the French movement.<br /><br />According to local media, some protesters called Prime Minister Justin Trudeau a “traitor,” yelled racial slurs and talked of “fake news.”<br /><br />The protesters were met by a smaller group of counter-protesters, who denounced the demonstrators as racists and fascists.
