새해 1월 국제선 유류할증료 '뚝'…최고 8만5천원→4만5천원<br /><br />The fuel surcharge on plane tickets sold in Korea is coming down next month.<br />An airline industry official told Yonhap News Agency that... for a one-way international flight booked in January... the maximum fuel surcharge will be reduced by almost 50 percent... to around 40 U.S. dollars.<br />The fuel surcharge for January is determined based on the average price of the benchmark Singapore jet fuel... from mid-November to mid-December... which was around a dollar-81 per gallon.<br />The surcharge is imposed when the average fuel price is a dollar-50 per gallon or higher.<br />The maximum surcharge for domestic flights will also drop by nearly half next month.<br />That'll be about 4 dollars. <br />
