US — Apple announced on a press release that it will open new facilities in Austin, Texas.<br /><br />The company said it will invest $1 billion on its new campus, which will spread across 133 acres and generate 5,000 new jobs. <br /><br />Apple also plans to expand its operations to San Diego, Seattle and Culver City, California, creating a total of more than 1,000 jobs.<br /><br />Additionally, it intends to hire hundreds of new employees in offices in New York, Pittsburgh and Boulder, Colorado within three years. <br /><br />The plan also includes a $10 billion investment in U.S. data centers in the next five years.<br /><br />Apple in August became the first U.S. publicly traded company to reach a $1 trillion market capitalization.<br /><br />The company currently employs more than 90,000 people across the U.S.
