Nintendo Switch <br />Becomes America's <br />Fastest-Selling Console The Japanese gaming giant has sold more than 8.7 million units in the U.S. since launching in March 2017. That's a faster pace than any other "current generation" system from Microsoft or Sony after the<br />same time frame. Nintendo said that 2018 was their best year since 2011. 2011 was when popularity of the <br />original Wii surged. Nintendo also just announced that 3 million copies of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sold in its first 11 days in the <br />U.S. market. The new Smash Bros. is the fastest-selling game Nintendo has ever released.
