The U.S. special representative for North Korea, Stephen Biegun, paid a visit this morning to the inter-Korean truce village of Panmunjeom.<br />According to sources at the foreign ministry,... Biegun visited the DMZ to observe first-hand how agreements aimed at reducing military tensions at the border have been implemented.<br />In September's inter-Korean military agreement,.. the two Koreas said they would demilitarize and jointly patrol the Joint Security Area.<br />The two sides have successfully removed arms from the JSA,... and are currently discussing how to jointly patrol the area.<br />The senior U.S. envoy,... however, is reportedly not planning to meet North Korean officials. <br />Later Thursday,... Biegun will hold a meeting on North Korean nuclear issues with his South Korean counterpart, Lee Do-hoon. <br />
