Paneer kadai is a restaurant style cottage cheese recipe. watch and learn how to make it at home with chef Smita Deo and let us know your feedback in comments.<br /><br />Ingredients For Garam Masala :<br /><br />3 tbsp Coriander Seeds<br />1 tbsp Cumin Seeds <br />1 1/2 tsp Fennel Seeds<br />1/2 tsp Cloves<br />6 Green Cardamom (Seeds)<br />1/2 tsp Pepper Corns<br />1 Bay Leaf<br /><br />Method :<br /><br />Add all these ingredients in a pan.<br />Dry roast it till they leave nice aroma.<br />Grind the masala into a fine powder.<br /><br />Tomato Onion paste ingredients:<br /><br />2 tbsp Oil<br />4 finely chopped Onions<br />4 finely chopped Tomatoes<br /><br />Method for Tomato Onion paste :<br /><br />In a Kadai, add 2 tbsp oil.<br />Once the oil heats up, add the chopped onions and saute it till it becomes translucent. <br />Once the Onions are soft, add the chopped tomatoes and cook it will its mushy. <br />Once the onions and tomatoes are soft, shut the flame and let it cool.<br />Transfer these into a grinder and grind it into a fine paste.<br /><br />Gravy Ingredients :<br /><br />1 tbsp Ghee<br />1 tbsp Butter<br />1 tsp Ginger Paste<br />1 tsp garlic Paste<br />1 Capsicum (Diced)<br />1 Onion (Diced)<br />1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder<br />1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder<br />1 tsp Garam Masala Powder<br />2 cups Water<br />Salt to Taste<br />1/2 Cup Fresh Cream <br />1 kg Paneer<br /><br />Gravy Method :<br /><br />In a pan add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp Ghee<br />Once it's hot add 1 tsp Ginger and 1 tsp Garlic and saute it till the raw smell goes off. <br />Once, the ginger garlic is cooked, add 1 capsicum and 1 Onion.<br />Saute it till it gets soft and cooked.<br />After it's cooked, add the Onion Tomato Paste and let it cook for 2-3 mins<br />Add 1/2 tsp turmeric,<br />1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder<br />1 tbsp Garam Masala<br />Mix everything together.<br />Add 2 cups of Water and Salt to taste<br />Give it a Stir and cook it till the Capsicum are cooked.<br />Lower the flame and Add 1/2 Cup Cream, Mix well and let it boil for 3-4 min.<br />Add 1 kg Paneer Cubes and mix it gently<br />Cover and cook for more 2-3 mins<br /><br />Your Kadai Paneer is ready to be served, you can have it with Kulcha and Naan.
