Two Sumatran tiger cubs have been born in Kinantan zoo in Bukittinggi, Indonesia.<br /><br />A male and a female were born to a mother named Dara Jingga and a father named Bancah on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at 7:00 a.m local time.<br /><br />The cubs are said to be in good health but are under the close supervision of a team of veterinarians.<br /><br />Conservation officials are still deciding whether the new arrivals will be released into the wild to boost the population. <br /><br />Sumatran tigers are listed as "critically endangered" on the IUCN Red List and there may be as few as 400 living in the wild.
