Business Insider reports Elon Musk had a special gift to share with fans of SpaceX this Christmas.<br /><br />Musk revealed that construction of a prototype for a Mars spaceship, 'Starship,' is now underway!<br /><br />Creating non-orbit-reaching launches or "hops" of this prototype could lead to building the Big Falcon Rocket...<br /><br />...which would be designed to launch 100 people and 150 tons of cargo to Mars.<br /><br />But SpaceX executives have short hops won't commence until the end of 2019. So Mars may be a bit of a wait. <br />
