An elephant charged at Indian forest officials who were trying to chase it back to the forestry.<br /><br />A few elephants had been spotted near a brick kiln near Coimbatore in southern Tamil Nadu state on December 20.<br /><br />Responding to a distress call, forest officials got in a jeep to drive them back to the forest. <br /><br />Most elephants retreated. However, one of them decided to charge at the vehicles instead, only finally retreating after it had chased off the officials, according to local sources.
