Meanwhile, volcanic activity is causing concern in Italy as Sicily's Mount Etna erupted on Christmas Eve. <br />Volcanic ash covered surrounding villages and fiery lava could be seen spewing out and flowing down the mountain's sides. <br />It also shook the ground with more than 130 tremors - the most powerful of which registered a magnitude of 4.3.<br />The eruption also caused the nearby Catania airport to close, but it was reopened on Christmas Day. <br />
