South Korea continues to endure a serious cold snap that started last week.<br />On Sunday, the mercury plunged to below minus 20 degrees Celsius in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do Province.<br /> The temperature in the capital Seoul fell to minus 11 degrees.<br />Most regions were also under cold wave and dry air warnings.<br />According to the health authorities, some 136 people have suffered cold-related illness, such as hypothermia and 8 people have died until last week.<br />Meanwhile, there's light snow in the forecast for some areas in the south, including Jeju Island.<br />Some relief from the extreme cold is on the way, though, starting Monday. <br />
