Hundreds of thousands of women formed a 620km-long human chain across a southern Indian state in support of a court order overturning a partial ban on women entering one of Hinduism’s holiest temples.<br /><br />This video shows Tuesday's 'Women's Wall' rally, which included the participation of government employees and students who were given the half day off to join the protest.<br /><br />The demonstration was backed by the communist government in Kerala where the court order reversing a ban on women of “menstruating age” – defined as between 10 and 50 – at Sabarimala temple has triggered weeks of protests.
