According to CNN, NASA's New Horizons mission sent back a images of an icy space rock in Neptune's orbit.<br />The spacecraft completed a flyby of Ultima Thule in the Kuiper Belt, getting within 2,200 miles of the rock's surface.<br />New Horizons has traveled about 4 billion miles throughout the solar system since it launched in 2006.<br />Back in 2015, it completed a similar flyby of Pluto and its five moons.<br />But the spacecraft is now 1 billion miles away from Pluto, and onto its second mission for NASA. <br />
