According to Reuters, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis gave his farewell message to the US armed forces.<br />During his remarks, the retired Marine general said to keep the faith in our country, and stand alongside our nation's allies.<br />Secretary Mattis chose to resign over policy differences with President Donald Trump.<br />But his departure was accelerated by President Trump, as Mattis expected to leave the Defense Department in February.<br />Mattis left the brief message in a memo before he departed the Pentagon.<br />The memo are his final public remarks as Defense secretary. <br />
