According to Reuters, the government shutdown has led to the closure of museums and zoos.<br />But the shutdown of the US federal government is also leading to a build-up of liter and human waste at national parks.<br />The partial shutdown has extended into it's 12th day, with no end in sight, as President Donald Trump continues to demand funding for a wall along the southern border.<br />But the partial shutdown is also expanding, as the 17 Smithsonian museums and the National Zoo closed on Jan. 2nd.<br />In California, Joshua Tree National Park is also preparing to shutdown, because camp toilets cannot be emptied due to a lack of staffing. <br />
