Sea lion clambers for shade in garden as temperatures soar in southern Australia

A curious sea lion was spotted miles away from the ocean in the Australian state of Tasmania yesterday (January 2).<br /><br />The marine mammal was found in the back garden of a house in rural Tasmania.<br /><br />In the video, the sea lion can be seen wandering in the garden until it finds a shade and lies on the grass.<br /><br />The animal is then hosed down - seemingly happy to feel the fresh water on its skin.<br /><br />The filmer commented: "He went through countless fences to get to us, so we had to ring parks and wildlife to come and load him into the sea lion trailer and relocate him.<br /><br />"It is the first time I've ever seen one other than a couple times they've released them at the beach "<br /><br />The heat in Tasmania has been reaching temperatures above twenty-five degrees Celsius this week.
