Heavy snow blanketed parts of Arizona's Grand Canyon National Park on January 6 as a spell of winter weather swept the state.<br /><br />Storm warnings were issued over the weekends as the region experienced rainfall and snow.<br /><br />The Grand Canyon National Park remains open during the government shutdown with the help of the state, which was paying about $64,000 a week to cover restroom cleaning, trash removal and snow plowing, local media reported.
