Avalanche warnings have been issued across parts of the Alps after a weekend of heavy snowfall led to a number of deaths across Austria, Germany and Italy. <br />At least seven people are known to have died across the three countries. <br />Rescuers are searching for several missing people elsewhere in the Alps.<br />Thousands of winter tourists remain trapped in major resorts and the extreme weather has also forced more than a hundred flights to be canceled at Munich Airport. <br />
