Surviving victims of Japan's wartime sexual slavery, civic groups and citizens have gathered in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul almost every Wednesday since 1992. <br />Today marks the 27th anniversary of the first 'Wednesday Demonstration',... and the victims and participants are still demanding an official apology from Japan. <br />They say the 2015 agreement between Seoul and Tokyo which settled the comfort women issue is invalid as it did not take into account the victims' views. <br />The survivors also used to attend the weekly gathering until late last year,... but with an average age of 91, their health has prevented them from going. <br />Eight of them passed away last year alone,... and only 25 remain. <br />
