The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended the deadline for farmers hurt by trade wars to apply for aid payments.<br />Reuters reports the deadline was originally set for January 15th, 2019.<br />However, the agency now says the deadline will be delayed for the number of days that USDA offices are closed.<br />In 2018, the government pledged up to $12 billion in aid to help farmers offset some of their losses for crops. <br />
