British lawmakers are stepping up pressure on Prime Minister Theresa May, saying she has three days to come up with a new Brexit plan if her current one is voted down in parliament.<br />For more on this and other news around the world we turn to our Ro Aram…<br />Aram…. A fresh blow to the British prime minister…..<br /><br />That's right Mark… the vote was scheduled for next Tuesday, but Mrs. May's Brexit proposal is widely expected to be voted down. <br />MPs on Wednesday backed an amendment to the Brexit process, which forces the prime minister to table a plan B if she loses the vote.<br />The amendment was passed amid fiery exchanges between leave and remain campaigners. <br />Pro-Brexit Conservatives insist the government should have the power to steer the UK out of the EU.<br />Anti- Brexit Conservatives MPs say it should be parliament that dictates the next steps.<br />The revised business motion of Brexit essentially gives the House of Commons power to amend any proposal following the likely defeat of May's Brexit plan. <br />So even if May came back with a plan B within the given three days, MPs have the power to change it. <br />Brexit minister Stephen Barclay assured parliament that the prime minister would table an alternative plan quickly. <br /><br />"I also want to reassure colleagues that whatever the outcome of this debate, we will respond rapidly. Recognising that we must provide parliament with as much security as possible give. <br /><br />Lawmakers are also increasing pressure on May's government to ensure that a 'no deal' Brexit scenario is avoided.<br /><br />"If the Prime Minister attempts a no deal Brexit, we will fight her tooth and nail every inch of the way."<br /><br />There is now less than three months before Britain is scheduled to leave the EU.<br />Amid uncertainty over the future of Brexit growing, several outcomes have been speculated, ranging from a disorderly exit to another referendum. <br />
